The Beginning

This is our first news post! We created Dypsloom so that we can follow our dreams and inspire others to do the same. Our goal is to create games while offering tools and game assets to other developpers. We wish to help game developers which do not have all the skills required to make a full fleged game by offering them the assets they are missing, such that they can achieve their vision.

The name Dypsloom is a compound of two words with the meaning sleeping penguin. Many indie game developpers relate game development with sleep deprevation, but we believe the best ideas come when you are dreaming and relaxed. Game development is hard and time consuming but we do it because we love to dream about the things we want to achieve. The penguin represents the developer who is small yet dreams big. It shows that it has yet to achieve its full potential and will always strive for more.

The logo shows how the dreams of the developer supports it and pushes it up towards its goals.

Here is to hoping the journey will be a long and fun one!

About the author: Santiago Rubio

Since early on in life, Santiago Rubio has created games, starting with hand crafted board games to small buggy flash video games.
